About Phil Hopkins
I’ve held a paintbrush in hand since as long as I can recall. I completed the Famous Artists School and Art Instruction courses in my late teens and painted murals for my school’s Spanish and English classroom walls. Despite a scholarship to the Cincinnati Art Academy, I joined the U.S. Navy where I spent over two years in the Mediterranean on the sixth fleet flagship. While there I had the good fortune of seeing firsthand thegreat ancient works of art. Upon returning from the Navy, I studied at the University of Cincinnati’s School of Applied Art.
