I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Gorgeous photo on the bag. Loved that I could adjust the photo size to suit my preference. Wanted to use for going to the health food store as I need to replace the 15 year old canvas, washable bags I have now. These will not last as long as those canvas bags. I could even deal with slight fading when I needed to wash them. These do not feel washable. Cheap mesh "fabric" on the interior will tear. Disappointed in the fabric on the inside and outside.

I was hoping for a heavyweight cotton canvas bag to use for grocery shopping; this will not be it. I wanted a bag that would be washable. This has a cheap mesh fabric on the interior that will tear in short order. The exterior is some sort of nylon or other synthetic fabric that I do not feel comfortable washing. I guess I didn't realize what kind of fabric it was made of. It is beautiful but not useful for my needs.

I wanted some pretty tote canvas tote bags to replace the durable canvas bags I use for trips to the health food store. While certainly beautiful, this bag will not be useful for that purpose. The interior is made of that lightweight, cheap mesh fabric that tears with the slightest bit of stress on it. I was hoping for heavy canvas, but this is an odd fabric that will not hold up for what I wanted to use it for.

Perfect sunflower for a resting place on a tote

Artist's Description

Columbine flowers hold a special attraction for me. I captured this image while taking a plein air workshop in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in the summer of 2012. Keith Bond, the teacher, took us to one of the most beautiful aspen glades I've ever seen. While watching him do a painting demonstration, my eye wandered a bit, and much to my delight, I spotted some columbines. This particular one was nearly perfect! It just may end up in my Ballet des Fleurs series of acrylic paintings that I am working on.

About Margaret Bobb

Margaret Bobb, an impressionistic colorist born and reared in the vibrant arts community of New Orleans, LA, has lived in Boulder County, Colorado, USA for well over 20 years. She says, "Drawing was my first love...then I met paint. My goal in art is to evoke emotions of joy, peace, harmony, and perhaps even a sense of wonder to people as they view my work. Realism used to be very important to me. But, as I've matured, I have found that my focus has changed from recording life to enjoying the sheer act of pushing, pulling or dropping colors onto a surface. I believe that creativity is a reflection of our spirit. There is so much ugliness in the world, I want to bring beauty to people. Much of my art is about color relationships and how...
