I love this artist's piece. And I love how it fits in my home. However, the print was quite low resolution. The details of the flowers and the brush strokes simply aren't visible. From a distance it looks OK but that brings viewers closer, and it is disappointing. I can't discern whether this was because the photograph of the original piece was low resolution, or whether the printing process or printer itself was not of high enough quality. The 30x30 inch print dimensions are still smaller than the original painting's size, so there "should" be enough detail to reproduce well in a print this big. I almost sent the piece back but had to choose between not having it at all, and accepting a low-resolution print. I chose to keep it because I like the art so much, but I paid a lot for this print and the frame, and am not pleased with the result. I would re-frame the piece if you could create and send a higher-resolution print that shows the detail even at 30x30. Note, the attached photo was taken in dim light, the actual print has good color and looks better than the photo suggests, but still below my expectation. About Scott Waters
Scott Waters trained as a commercial artist and illustrator, first studying watercolor with Dr. Robert Banister in California and then Commercial Art and Illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida where he was the president of the student council. For a decade in Denver, Scott was involved in the high-end audio and recording studio business while continuing his design consultation. In 1984 Scott was part of the sales team that introduced the Macintosh personal computer. At Apple he developed expertise in the technical, marketing and management areas of the computer industry to compliment his experience in the Arts.
