Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption. The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton. Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").
Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Nice size but not as thick as I thought. Also, I didn’t realize the back side of sheet is white. However, this sheet will look amazing on the beach or poolside

Nice towel for the pool.
These lovely little winged jewels were, until recently, called Olive Hairstreaks. Things are always being reassessed and updated; now they are the Juniper Hairstreak. The name "hairstreak" comes from the hair-like projections on the back of the lower wings. This one, and about four others were on Common Yarrow. It was obviously a new hatch because each specimen was in perfect shape.
I took this picture on July 13, 2014, in Red Hill, Pennsylvania, USA, at the Green Lane Reservoir Boat Launch. The camera is a Canon T4i paired with a Tamron macro lens (90mm).
You can read more about the Juniper Hairstreak here:

I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....
