Meaning behind the art: I had a conversation with a dear life friend and artist buddy about some of the things we do in our art. For the longest time I fought the idea of creating in a square format and tried standard rectangular shapes. Each time I tried I felt like I was force myself out of what I do naturally. Oh I thought you have to grow and try new things, plus it’s hard for people to find frames in a 12 x 12 size. So that didn’t last long, I think you’re to find something you love to do and make it yours…well working in a square format is something I love to do and I’ve just accepted to Embrace it. My color palette is inspired by the walk today in the woods.
