Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
Traveling from Tampa, Fl. all the way up to Columbia, South Carolina to see the eclipse was for sure a life time trip for me!!! What a thrill to be there as the sun was going dark, and hearing the birds, and insects react to the darkness!!! Also to hear crowds come to life as the light began to return. I have never seen anything as amazing as this!!! After shooting my image with a 300mm and cropping it down as much as I dare, I could see details that was amazing!!! My high resolution camera did a fantastic job!! I would say that this is a great image for any place you want as a talking point in your home or office!!!! "Just One Opportunity" to get it right!!!!! Shot Aug. 21 2017.

No matter if you are a collector looking for art, or a fellow artist!!! I recommend you read my descriptions on each photo. This way you can connect with the way I was feeling, thinking, or see what I was enduring as I shot each photo!! We have fantastic sunsets and sunrises no matter what time of the year in my area. Most of my work is with color, but I also have a fond love for black and white. I think I love black and white just as much as I love color!!!! There is tons of variety in the things that I like to shoot. Something new that I have added is digital textures and painterly effects. I...

Awesome eclipse capture! What kind of filter did you use on this? I am wanting to try and shoot the upcoming eclipse in the spring, it's supposed to go practically straight over my hometown. I'm perplexed as to how I want to shoot, the only lenses I have are a 17-55mm wide angle and a 150-600mm tele.
Marvin Spates replied:
Thank you very much Keith!!!

Revisiting this amazing shot to see what I missed. It doesn't look like what I saw, because although I was fortunate enough to be handed an antique welding helmet through which to view it right at the peak time, I was visiting an old friend in Michigan that day and we weren't on the band of totality.
