I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

The second in a series of paintings of the Eiffel Tower. This one from a more jaunty perspective upon the approach to the tower. I really went for it with the detailing of the tower, contrasting strongly with the trees in the foreground. Trees are not my strong point, I'll be the first to admit, but I rather like the fuzzy feel of the trees here, as it creates a sense of focus on the tower itself. Hope you agree. On to the next one, which will be rather different I think :0)

I've been painting for about 30 years, and am self-taught. I mostly paint with acrylics onto canvas or walls, and more recently using digital resources as well as AI-generated artwork. My speciality is creating a shallow depth of field effect on canvas. This creates depth to the painting by varying the degree of focus throughout the painting. This technique works well for portraits, and certain types of still-life. I also enjoy working with quite strong colours, which is ideal with acrylic as a medium. I enjoy painting quirky townscapes and have been influenced by the work of the French artist Alain Godon.
