An innovative sailship built by Dubigeon shipyards, Nantes, France in 1893, since classed historical heritage. It was one of the very first using electrogalvanization for her iron hull. Classed with the old Jauge Godinet, she multiplied regattas until 1960, and is now, like the older Vezon (1887) one of the oldest of the type still afloat, part each year of the Paris nautical exhibition. The Vetille had no keel, therefore she used a deadweight and had a flat bottom, was rigged in gunter (Houari) and had a small gasoline engine for harbor manoeuvers.
