About Gale Lukas
I have been taking photographs since I was about 6 years old. I started with my Brownie camera.; then came my Kodak 110, my Rollei, my Canon AE1 and finally digital. My love of photography began with my father. He taught me all about taking photographs. When I was in my teens he bought me my Canon AE1, (black body), with his Christmas bonus money from work. During WW2 his unit, the 34th Photo Recon Unit, was responsible for photographing the Normandy Beaches for the invasion. He shared his stories, his love, and his knowledge. Photography was an immeasurable gift. It brings me serenity, enjoyment, and family. I hope you enjoy my work.
