My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
The summer golden hour on Lake Minnewanka was quiet and peaceful and it was a joy to watch the changing light and shadows on the mountains as the sun went down. Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake only a few miles from the town of Banff in Banff National Park in Alberta Canada. Its name means "Water of the Spirits" in Nakoda and was believed to be haunted by the spirits of the dead. Thus early European settlers named it Devil's Lake. The lake is 21 km (13 mi) long and 142 m (466 ft) deep, making it the longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies. The lake is fed by the Cascade River, as well as numerous streams flowing down the surrounding mountains. It has been dammed three times, the last time in 1941 when it submerged the summer settlement of Minnewanka Landing. Maybe those spirits still haunt the area. The Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks of Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho along with three provincial parks comprise a UNESCO World Heritage site.

About Joan Carroll
Protected with PIXSY About Joan Carroll: I am a Fort Worth Texas-based outdoor photographer who feels at home while on the road...in Texas, in the US, around the world. Although travel and photography were dual interests from a young age, the coming of the digital camera provided undreamed of opportunities and unleashed previously untapped creativity. My photographic goal is to travel the world in a curious yet respectful way, taking the time to see and understand the unique story of each place I visit. Wherever I go I want to walk every street, hike every trail, ride the bus or metro, climb every tower, walk around and through every monument, and then do it all over again when the light changes. In every place, light, mood, color, and...
