Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Laser Megajoule supercomputer. These processors are part of the TERA-10 supercomputer, used to process results and simulations related to the Laser Megajoule (LMJ). TERA-10 has 50 teraflops (50,000 billion operations per second) of computing power, and consists of over 4000 Intel Montecito dual-core processors, connected by a Quadrics network. It is the most powerful supercomputer in Europe. The LMJ is an experimental nuclear fusion device being built near Bordeaux, France, and is scheduled for completion in 2012. Photographed at the Military Applications Division (DAM) of the French Atomic Agency (CEA), in Bruyere-le-Chatel, France.
