I first found Will Bullas art while waiting for a flight at the O'Hare Airport. I purchased an adorable item for my husband as a gift while I was there. I wanted more art by the artist, so I Googled his name from the signature on the item I purchased and have bought many, many pieces since then. This is a magnificent giraffe drawing on a big, sturdy, canvas bag. Love it! I'm on the board of an AZA accredited zoo and love to give animal themed gifts; Will's art is the best!!

I love my new "I am Art" tote bag. Wish it zipped and had pockets though. The design is on both sides which is a plus. I go all around town with my tote bag full of stuff and things related to art and feel as though-that one simple phrase is opening my heart to the world. Thanks so much for having such a creative idea and looking out for artists who share your same interests,

Artist's Description

A collage artist named Laura Lein-Svencner has her students do an exercise that consists of simply making marks on paper. So I did. Then I took a closer look. Then I bent, folded, spindled, and mutilated those marks in the computer to come up with an interesting, completely abstract, sort of primitive-looking series of images I call the "Laura Series." Thanks to her inspiration and my computer skills, I've come up with something completely different and, I hope, appealing.

About Carol Leigh

Carol Leigh

I'm a photographer, writer, educator based in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in photomontage work, combining photos I've taken of rust, walls, peeling paint, birds, postage stamps, trees, etc. into images that are completely new, different, and often weird. I also create physical collages, then find myself photographing parts of them to include in my photomontages. It's crazy, but it's fun! My career has encompassed writing guidebooks (primarily about where to photograph in California), newsletters (guides for photographers about where to photograph in the United States), leading photo workshops, and conducting online classes.
