I like your Havana Cuba Girl art which reminds me of pinup girl artwork from the 1940's-1950's. That's great artwork for the IdaHome magazine cover. I would think that would be a good addition to your print for sale collection. Paul Bennett

Very pleased with the item!!
A high contrast abstract painting using several abstract elements to create the optical illusion of a 3-D pattern. Deep jewel toned transparent areas of color are combined in a pattern with flatter lighter and less saturated opaque areas to create the illusion of areas that stick out from the canvas and areas that recede into the canvas. These colored spaces are offset and defined by a bold linear pattern of dark opaque lines, overpainted with deep jewel-toned transparent ipasto.

Analysis of many technical diagrams, presentations of data, and scientific images is a set of commonly accepted rules that are learned and internalized over years of study and publication. These rules and tightly codified visual metaphors help scientists communicate complex ideas mostly amongst themselves, but they could also become barriers to new ideas and insights. Valluzzi's images are abstracted and diverge from the typical rules and...

This is an exploration of an idea I'd tried years ago in watercolors. Here I'm trying to adapt the idea for oil, using different tools and taking advantage of the dimensionality of oil paint and media. Why this? Why now? I'd have to say this painting was inspired by some Of Charlie Spear's recent work - a departure for him? - and his interest in some of the old watercolors I'd posted on Facebook (very bad photos of some nice paintings). So, consider this my reply in a visual dialog.
