Very interesting painting! You have really captured the spirit of the Lippizaner! Wonderful! f/l *****

Barbara Keith replied:

You may have noticed that I like all kinds of critters.. and thanks!!

Yes - they are born black and gradually turn white as you probably know. That is one of the traditions of the Spanish Riding School to always have a black horse working with the other mature stallions. You really captured even the riders face very well

Barbara Keith replied:

Thank you very much for appreciating my attempts..

boy are you talented in all your work. Horses are hard to do well especially with movement and a rider....you are very good.

Love that you have the colt in the background and the adult in the foreground. Provides a really nice contrast.

I really like your double images. I was just commissioned to do one and am anxious to get started on it. Gail

Many years ago, my uncle Thomas (Tom) Phillip Hufford asked me to come up with a word the opposite of predator. Amitor is that word. Ami: Fr. friend, Amigo: Sp. friend, Amity: Eng. harmony, Ami: Formosa, Taiwan. Giraffe: non predatory animal unless young attacked. Butterflies: live, love, laugh, hope. Survive, thrive and inspire others. Pen Sherwood offered to do this Amtor artwork for free sharing the copyright with me for my Amitor concept. Amitor Tom would be so proud. Diana Hays Kisselburg

About Barbara Keith

05-19-17: Due to the injury of my index finger I can no longer work the hours I used to so I'm working on very short timelines. What that means is that it's going to take me a lot longer to get anything done. You never realize how important a thing like a finger is until you damage it!!! Bear with me, I will post anything new as I finish them. Also, I would like to let all the groups that I belong to know that I'm trying to catch up on everything - considering I lost about a year in total where I really couldn't do much. Sorry for the influx. 07-07-16: Will be absent again due to a torn tendon in my right hand (index finger). Will be gone for at least 8 weeks 04-09-16: I just want to let every one know that I will probably be absent...
