Description
This painting depicts the recently built Lizard Point Lifeboat Station for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). It was commissioned as a gift for Brian Williams ,the renowned miniture ship modeler and member of the RNLI. The RNLI is an all volunteer group of brave men and women who risk their lives daily to save mariners from the clutches and perils of the sea. This heroic organizsation receives no government funding and functions with donations from a grateful public.

This great painting is of the new Lizard, Cornwall, lifeboat house depicting the launching of the station's new Tamar class lifeboat. It is interesting when compared with Bill's painting of the old Lizard lifeboat house and the last launching of the old lifeboat going out of service, shown elsewhere on these pages !! The accuracy and realism is remarkable by any standards
