Got this pic on the beach in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico and had to paint it.
Born in Puerto Rico, lived in the states, and currently residing back on the island. I have painted in acrylics on canvas and digitally using Artrage. I feel art is a taste of immortality. Something that lasts after your gone. It's a shame that most artwork sells for more after your dead. Hope that brought out a laugh. That's what I want to convey in my artwork, some emotion, some feeling, a sense of joy and well being. I play the cuatro (the national instrument of Puerto Rico) professionally and have been captivated by it's sound and have included it and my guitar in many of my artworks. Music and art have been partners in my muse for many years. That would be my statement as an artist: I want people to hear the painting, to feel it....
