About Elizabeth McPhee
Photography was my childhood hobby. My interest reawakened when I inherited an old SLR. I rediscovered photography as an art form - using shape and form, texture, patterns and above all, the magic of light. Since then I have sought these elements in cityscapes, architecture, in man-made objects and nature, trying to capture them from a creative perspective. But my driving force is to see and capture the ordinary in a light that transforms it. As Henri Cartier-Bresson said:" It is not the subject matter that counts, it is the light." I find inspiration in the work of the masters and contemporary artists. Photographer's CV Exhibitions Solo exhibition, Barebones Art Space, Bangalow, NSW, Australia,...

Gorgeous color! The one line curving in opposition to the others gives additional strength to the composition. Welcome!

I'm with Gene on this; all of your photos ARE great! I especially like this one because of the way framed the arched ceiling so it explodes outward from the corner and then included the spine in the apex that curves in the opposite direction. This is just a beautiful, beautiful work. Joe.
