Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

Artist's Description

Looking Up In Antelope Canyon is one of many photographs I shot while at Antelope Canyon in Arizona this summer (2014)Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon or The Crack; and Lower Antelope Canyon or The Corkscrew.Antelope Canyon was formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding and secondarily due to other sub-aerial processes. Rainwater, especially during monsoon season, runs into the extensive basin above the slot canyon sections, picking up speed and sand as it rushes into the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways eroded away, making the corridors deeper and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form characteristic 'flowing' shapes in the rock.Flooding in the canyon still occurs. Thank you for visiting my work. I am a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Painting and a minor in Art History. In addition I have an Art Education degree. After 15 years I have recently retired from my part time employment through the Department of Continuing Studies at my alma mater (NSCAD-Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.)
