Original Fine Art Photography by Donna Kennedy-
Edited in Topaz Studio-Photographed at Fishlake National Forest, Utah
Autumn is my favorite time of year, it comes and goes so quickly. Memories are all that are left when the trees are bare and their golden leaves cover the ground, so cherish this beautiful season, just breathe and enjoy every moment until it comes again next year.
Fishlake lies within and is the namesake of the Fishlake National Forest. Fish Lake is six miles long and one mile wide. The largest natural mountain alpine lake in central Utah, Fish Lake sits at more than 8,800 feet of elevation, which makes for pleasant weather all summer long.
Considered by many to be the gem of Utah, it offers trophy fishing and bird watching. The mountains of the Fishlake are a source of water for many of the neighboring communities and agricultural valleys in the region. Elk, deer, black bear, cougar and moose can be found in the Forest, as well as wild turkey and mountain goats.
Pando, a clonal quaking aspen stand, that, according to sources, is the oldest (80,000 years) and largest (106 acres, 13 million pounds) organism on Earth, is located in the Fremont River Ranger District of the National Forest, 1 mile southwest of Fish Lake on Utah route 25.
