A beautiful but dangerous creature, the Man O' War is one of nature's most beautiful works of art. The Man O' War is often incorrectly called a jellyfish but is actually a siphonophore. A siphonophore is not a single organism but rather a colony of organisms working together. The Man O' War is carried along the surface of the ocean by the winds and usually washes ashore after windy conditions or storms. Although beautiful, the tentacles of the Man O' War can deliver a painful sting even days after being washed ashore.
