It’s okay. As a yoga mat, it’s not exactly nonslip.

The picturesque red Manistique East Breakwater Light, located on the end of a concrete breakwater on the east side of the harbor where the Manistique River flows into Lake Michigan, welcomes travelers to the harbor town of Manistique in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Built in 1915-17, at a cost of nearly $20,000, the red square steel 35-foot tower is 14-feet square at the base and 10-feet square at the parapet.
This light once guided Lake Michigan railroad car ferries into Manistique. It was the only light on the northern part of Lake Michigan between Seul Choix Point and Poverty Island, a distance of 44 miles.
A picture is a poem without words....Horace. My photos and digital paintings are picture words intended to invoke delight, thought, memories or wonder in the minds of the viewer. Some are meant to inform or instruct, but all are offered for the enjoyment of those whose eyes will explore them. I get excited about all things nature, wildlife, and nostalgia, however my travel and visits to interesting places also show up in my work.
