Gorgeous creative work, two relaxing skeletons, very well done! l/f

Congrats on your sale, Betsy, love it!! Fave!

Betsy Knapp replied:

Thank you, Sandi!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. I love biology--especially human anatomy and physiology, (parasitology is #2)! I bought my first medical model skeleton back in 2012. And this is why: In addition to loving human anatomy and physiology, I like poetry. My father would always recite from memory a poem entitled "The Cremation of Sam McGee" by Robert Service, when we went camping or visited the beach. I always hung on every line as my dad told the tale, and he did it very well, as each word carried a certain mysterious weight that held my curiosity like crazy. I wanted to combine science with a place that I love very much, and that place is Topsail Island. I wanted to further personify Sam by having him sit in a chair or do other things--as it seems humorous, but also carries an inevitable message. There are also other messages and stories to be told with each image of him, and there certainly will be more. In December of 2015, I was on a long visit to Topsail, and I didn't have room in the car for Sam. To remedy this, I purchased another one and had it delivered to our beach house. Now there are two "Sams"! When my husband and I have the "guys" out on the beach, it always draws a crowd--needless to say, the cell phones come out and people really get a kick out of it. On our next beach trip, I'm going to plop Sam in a chair and have another empty chair next to him, so people can have their picture taken with him. He sure is a lot of fun!

Congratulations on your sale!

congrats!

Betsy Knapp replied:

Thank you, Kendall!

i like it

Betsy Knapp replied:

Glad you like it, Louloua!

Very cool! Your theories, by implication, both as to what heaven would be--I'd have to agree-- and how humans will manifest are rather interesting.

Betsy Knapp replied:

Thank you, Rusty.

Nicely done

About Acrylic Prints

Acrylic Print with Mounting Posts

Mounting Option #1

Acrylic Print with Hanging Wire

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

High quality. Very pleased

May 9th, 2019

The photo taken is beautiful. Jordanelle is my preferred fishing location and I was really excited to get this printed in the largest format available for my office. I expect to be dazzled by the piece but I am honestly underwhelmed. The quality of the print is blurry and seems too low resolution for the size offered and the price paid. Love the pic but not sure if the quality of the media is worth keeping. I really wanted to love this but am struggling with the decision to return it.

We love our President Trump, because it shows: 1) He is human, and not afraid to fail, and 2) He is indomitable. — “They” just cannot defeat him !!!

I love it. Great pic.

I am really enjoying this beautiful collage of a alpha wolf the symbols stars night lightning storm and the wolves pictured on either side with the big moon centered in the picture is too awesome for words... the acrylic version makes it fun and there doesn't seem to be any major issues with the colors as it had in past with other artwork I had ordered... it's amazing and I love it... however I did ask that it did not have the funny wood you guys add to some of the artwork I had received in the past and you did it again (even though I emailed this request) however it is really lovely and otherwise very well put together thanks :)

About Betsy Knapp

Please pardon the disorganization while we update our galleries! Betsy Cutler-Knapp is a multi-genre full-time artist. Currently she lives and breathes photography and 3D rendering, which is a balance between traveling and lovingly logging-in time behind the computer screen. One of her most identifying characteristics is her history with Topsail Island, North Carolina. She has been photographing the island for decades and often visits the quaint, magical paradise. She also finds Topsail's past fascinating, especially the military project, Operation Bumblebee, in the development of the ramjet engine. As always, Betsy is graciously appreciative of guests, supporters, and clients, who have been a staple in her profession. ...
