Tom Schick works on the evening meal at the end of week one, for the 2007 Oklahoma Centennial Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive. I first published this image in my book, Riding The Chisholm Trail: 'Once in a lifetime' in 2009.

Even Hollywood couldn't have made the drovers any more authentic looking than Tom Schick and the rest of the team. There wasn't time for shaves or worrying if they smelled sortly to the public that crowded round them at nightly camps. If anything, it added to the experience and provided Oklahomans and even a few visitors from other countries a reason to sit and visit and hear the stories.

I feel like I have captured and preserved a wonderful history from this event and visiting with these men as I worked on the book. It can be found in my Blurb store.
