I spent close to 800 man hours detailing every last crack in the wall and every last scale of those snakes of this one. Traditionally depicted as a monster, Medusas tale is so tragic I wanted to give her some recognition with this piece. A lot of symbolism in the piece, the 13th snake in the image is not part of her and the waves in the pattern behind her symbolise Poseidon/Neptune, the true monster in the story. Painted with a Wacom tablet in 2007.
