Great canvas and framing. A decent shipping time, and EXCEPTIONAL safe packaging. Just an appropriate image for my viewing/listening room. Just took the speaker grills off for this photo.
Artist's Description
I was painting in Yosemite Valley this Autumn afternoon in 1976 on the Merced River with my girlfriend beside me, sunning herself on a blanket when an old man with a tripod over his shoulder came up behind me and started to chat about my painting, making some very complimentary remarks. I tried to chat, but was so focused on my painting that I did not really look back at him but continued to paint and gave him very little attention. After a few minutes he continued on his way along the river's edge. My girlfriend said to me, do you know who that is? I did not but as I look at his lumbering form with the old wooden tripod and huge 8"x10" camera, she said that was Ansel Adams. I have always wondered if I am in one of his photos painting in the foreground. Maybe somewhere in his archives. That would have been cool!
