(1475-1564, painter, sculptor, poet, architect in the Italian Renaissance; e.g. David in Florence, Pieta in Rome, Sixtina in Rome, the dome in Florence)
II used to pass by very often at the Glyptothek in Munich and stopped by at this sculpture again and again. Someday I wanted to know who is shown. Then I found out in the museum - Michelangelo Buonarotti, one of the greatest artists who ever lived. I could not leave his David in Florence - I was so fascinated. And the Pieta in Rome - amazing!
So I have a deep connection to him. Here I have captured him in the evening sun. The light is calming me down and he seems to be solid as a rock.
