The rugged, extremely steep and colorful San Juan Mountain Range in southwestern Colorado is the largest in the state by area. The mountains in the range are highly mineralized and gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, uranium, and sulfur ores have been mined from these mountains.
After teaching primarily art for 32 years in the public schools, k-12, in Delta County on the Western Slope of Colorado, I am now ready to concentrate on my own art work and photography. I was raised in the North Fork Valley of the Gunnison River on a small farm at the foot of Mount Lamborn, I now live quietly on another small place about a mile from my childhood home. I have a loving, supportive family: my mother and husband, two adult children, five grandchildren, one dog, one cat, and two small horses who are all the sunshine in my life. We enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, hiking, doing artwork and taking pictures in the beautiful mountains full of wildlife that surround us.
