This is one of several cabins on Mono Pass, CA just outside the Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park. These cabins housed gold miners at 9,500 ft. altitude. This location received about 20-30 ft. of snow each winter. The scene intrigued me due to its rugged, remote location and the relative strength of its primitive construction That kept it standing throughout many decades of extreme weather.
