Sprague Lake, located in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado USA, is one of my favorite places to hike. In very early September 2015, I wanted to create a piece for the Colorado Plein Air Festival, so my husband accompanied me to Sprague Lake during sunrise. As we were driving in RMNP, the colors on all the mountain peaks were spectacular that morning. When we arrived at Sprague Lake not too long past sunrise, there was a fog bank hovering over the majestic peaks, which include Hallet's Peak, Otis, and Flat Top. It was breezy, but there were times of intermittent calm, so I was able to capture some reflections in the water.
I was thrilled when my painting was juried into the Festival's Show! It was held at the Denver Public Library from November 18, 2015 through January 3, 2016.
This painting has been beautifully custom-framed, however I am willing to sell it unframed for $575, which is $300 less than the asking price of $875.
