Finding this little native bush growing among a bramble of dead Douglas Fir tree stumps all piled upon each other from a clear-cut, it was shear delight to find the forest coming back already in the first season. As it's rightly called Mock Orange it smells just like orange blossoms. We're hard pressed to grow citrus in Washington State so when this native plant comes into bloom...well, it's a breath of heaven.
