It was a gift for a friend who has worked on these rigs. Itâs now in his own company facility. He loves it.
The first hours after dawn and the hour before sunset are known as the âhappy hoursâ for nature photographers. It is then when the sunâs rays have a slightly yellow to âgoldenâ hue and longer shadows which dramatically enhance to the colors and depth to many photographs. The advantage of early morning light is that it tends to be much âcleanerâ with fewer dust particles to diffuse the light.
This image was taken in the early morning hours at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. The Aztec Sandstone formations found there are one of the little known gems of the American Southwest, though it is highly unlikely that any real Aztec ever laid eyes upon this colorful formation. The park derives its name from the appearance of the rocks seemingly afire under the blazing desert sun.
