Description
Mount Baden-Powell is a peak in the San Gabriel Mountains of California named for the founder of the World Scouting Movement, Robert Baden-Powell. It is 9,406 feet high and has a very popular hiking trail that leads to it's peak.
I caught this photograph from the desert floor from the Pearblossom area. The weather was cold but the fresh air after a rain was welcome. It also made it possible to see for miles. The clouds lingering around the mountain top hid the Big Pines Ski resorts.
I have added to the photograph a textured painterly finish. Use the High Resolution Preview for a closer look. The Fine Art America Security Watermark does not appear on any purchased product.
