Well, this seems to be one of the more popular images in my profile! Believe it or not, it is mist on a small cactus. That's it! There was no preparation with this photo. I just grab the water hose, turned it on and started misting my plants. I was misting my garden and viola'! I love misting my flowers and plants instead of drenching them with water. When I drench them, then the leaves seem to loose it's color, the petals droop, and the bees, butterflies and humming birds stay away until the flower is dry. However, every now and then I do soak the soil, but for the most part, I mist every day. Misting is a slower process of watering and it allows me to zero in on the flower or plant. I live in Northern California and sometimes the summer weather is hot, and my garden needs a respite a couple of times per day, so I think my plants love the mist! When I took this picture, I was finished misting my plants and decided to grab my camera and see if there were any interesting shots in my gar...
