Marilyn, What rich colors are burned into this old ride! As though the oranges from countless sunsets has settled its magic dust on this old jalopy for it to one day shine again! L&F

Thank you Nava. (I love your new avatar too)

Marilyn, I do believe, that this would look awesome restored to its original state, however, it looks kinda cool the way it is, even if for looking at and not using. There is possibility behind the restoration of this fine find! fave and vote

Good grocery or farmer's market bag. I feel the artist's name should be displayed on the product.

I love my new bag. It is so beautiful. I work in schools with children who have hearing loss and they love my bag. I get to share information about hearing loss with teachers in the school when they ask about the lovely picture. I also tell them about Ms. Soares. Thanks for sharing her story. It makes the picture even more unique. I had a difficult time choosing from all the options just related to hearing but fell in love with all of her offerings on this site. The quality of the bag is great also.

I purchased this for a gift and the recipient was blown away. The artistry is alive in this bag with Frida. Perfect!

Artist's Description

This old rusty truck is waiting for some TLC to restore it back to its' former glory! Most of these old cars and trucks that I found in my neighborhood seem to be from the 1930's era. I am facinated by the patterns that the old rust creates. Macro shots reveal some very abstract designs that I have also posted on this website.

About Marilyn Smith

Having lived in both states, it has given me very diverse subject matter as is evident in the variety of art pieces I have posted here. I also have appeared in several art shows in both states and received various awards, including the Wisconsin Regional Art Show Travelling Exhibit Award for my watercolor "Spring In Tlaquepaque". While working for the Dean Medical Center in Madison, WI, I completed several commission pieces to be displayed in their clinics ("Comin' Home", "The Catch", "Little Mill", and Christine's Ride"). I also created their employee birthday card for...
