Nyala are one of the most beautiful spiral horned antelope in Africa. This bull posed for me one evening and I shot several photographs before he moved on. The original drawing remains with a good friend who helped show me the endless beauty of South Africa. You can purchase prints and cards at this site.
Watching and drawing wildlife since childhood, my first works in pencil and ink were displayed in local community buildings. I sold my first ink drawing of songbirds when I was 15 years old. Desiring to learn more about wild creatures led me to major in Wildlife Biology and Rangeland Management. I also took courses in drawing, scientific illustration and photography. I recently retired after a wonderful career as a Wildlife Biologist and Rangeland Management Specialist. I continue pursuing my passion for wildlife with pencils, pens, paint and camera. My drawings and oil paintings are done free hand.
