A beautiful printed card I will frame. Susie is a versatile artist and I always enjoy her art.

I love the artist and usually purchase her originals or prints and have been extremely satisfied with them, but this original and some others were sold so I purchased cards to frame. I have to comment that this card was a little dark and if it could be lightened a little, it would better represent the artwork. The artist is one of my favorites.

Artist's Description
A small alter sits below the Church Of Saint Joseph's Carpentry (Nazareth, Israel) sits near the excavated site (presumed) of Joseph's carpentry shop. The altar, and church above, pays tribute to Joseph's obedience to God in taking Mary as his wife and as parent to Jesus.
Joseph's occupation is traditionally rendered as carpenter, though the translation inadequately describes his occupation. A better translation of the Greek noun tektōn (τέκτων) would be one who works with her/his hands--an artisan/tradesman/craftsman skilled in working with wood, stone, and metal. It is highly likely that Joseph worked as stone mason in nearby Sepphoris (aka Tzipori), a rapidly expanding Roman city in the time of Jesus' youth in Nazareth.
