Incredible and fantastic. I love your work.

Otto,I wonder your technique and your fantasy! WOH

I guess I forgot to mention the medium: it's egg tempera with acrylic glazes on canvas, a adaption of the mische technique (which would be egg tempera and oil glazes).

Great art work from a great artist!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!

Good quality

Love it! 1st I will say we ordered the king size ($10 more than a queen) & the "picture" part covers our queen size bed PERFECTLY. The colors are vibrant (even after prewashing), it's not too heavy (summer will be perfect) but not too lightweight (some other duvet covers I've spent decent $ on were VERY thin compared to this one). & the wildlife hubby is in LOVE with it! Definitely recommend!

Great style for daughter’s dorm room.

First of all I love the photograph but I was a little disappointed with the clarity of the print onto the duvet cover- was a little blurry. Also fine art america needs to add more ties on the inside of the cover- there is only one at each corner and my blanket tends to bunch up at the ends. Even my blanket has 12 ties to tie to the cover. I feel that fine art america really dropped the ball on that. Their ties for crying out loud- only 4? Other than that I was pretty satisfied overall but would probably not spend this much on a duvet cover ever again especially with fine art america' s flaws. Like I said overall pretty satisfied but expected more in quality for the price.

Artist's Description

Credit should be given to my friend Helena Nelson-Reid, this was her comment about the work, and I think likely the best interpretion: "Tiamat's children: Born to the sea, they drift upon undulating waves of shimmering, phosphorescent krill mirroring the starry night skies above, while others resemble the bizarre creatures dwelling deep beneath the surface". I like to add some basic information for the names in the title - Fomorii: In Irish legend, a race of (one-eyed) demonic beings who lived in Ireland and fought off successive waves of settlers. They were finally expelled by the Tuatha Danann (people of the goddess Danu) in the second Battle of Muighe Tuireadh (Moytirra). Their most prominent leader was Balar of the Evil Eye, killed by Lugh. Tiamat: In Babylonian mythology, Tiamat is a goddess who personifies the sea. Tiamat is considered the monstrous embodiment of primordial chaos. Although there are no early precedents for it, some sources identify her with images of a...

About Otto Rapp

THE MYSTIC OTTO RAPP Born in 1944 in Felixdorf, Lower Austria, I lived and was educated in Vienna, where later I worked as a clerk in the Transport and Insurance Business. After completing service in the Austrian Air Force, I traveled throughout Europe, eventually settling in Stockholm, Sweden. As a Painter I was initially self taught, studying in the various Galleries and Museums. In Vienna, I was often hanging out at the Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste, where I admired the work of the Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus represented there by the Professors Ernst Fuchs, Rudolf Hausner and Arik Brauer. In Stockholm, I found out that I was washing dishes in the very same Restaurant where years earlier another Viennese...
