Old Faithful is a cone geyser and was the first geyser in the park to receive a name. It is one of the most predictable geothermal features on Earth -- erupting every 44 to 125 minutes. During an eruption, the water temperature at the vent has been measured at 204F. The steam temperature has been measured above 350.
