Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I fell in love with this old house in the Lincolnville section of St. Augustine after the owners had painted it in bright colors. Who could resist making a painting from that? About Joan Dorrill
Creative and colorful, are words people have used to describe my art work. It is mostly experimental in nature and painted with acrylic or mixed media on canvas or paper. Most of my transparent watercolors are somewhat naturalistic, and when using that medium I enjoy painting old houses and flowers. I have approximately 50 years of experience in the art field, and have served as president of two co-op galleries and exhibited in several others. I am active in several art organizations and a signature member of International Society of Acrylic Painters. (ISAP) After living in St. Augustine for about 17 years, my husband and I moved back to Chattanooga, TN to be near our adult children and enjoy the change of seasons once again.
