Old Market in Omaha, Nebraska is a neighborhood of preserved and restored buildings that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Most of the structures in the area were built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The district was originally set up to sell wholesale and retail produce and other goods. It's now a vibrant community where visitors can find art galleries, sidewalk entertainment, a variety of eclectic shops and restaurants, horse-drawn carriages and streets still paved with brick. Many of the original buildings have been converted to lofts and apartments as well. Here we see a window in one of those living spaces crowded with plants and books.
