Description
Horizontal composition sepia toned photography monochrome of old horizontal wooden shutter on old window from very ancient building with stone walls. This picture was taken in public streets of medieval village of Perouges in Ain, Rhone-Alpes region in France (Europe) without any people. It is from these ancient window shutters that comes the expression "Trier sur le volet" in french (cherry pick, or handpicked). In the Middle Ages merchants offer their wares on stalls that were in fact the shutters of their shops.
