I used to be an Amiga computer user. In the '80s and '90s it was the only computer capable of generating and animating fractals. Using MAND2000, it generated real-time imagery of Mandlebrots and Julias which allowed me to zoom in on various parts for thousands of iterations. It was also configurable for generating other fractals. It was available about 1990. I learned about fractals from it and have been hooked ever since. I don't make my own any more, but I love it when they appear in WHAT? This feathery creation is fascinating. l, f, WHAT?
Susan Maxwell Schmidt replied:
You sure you have your time frame right? I remember generating fractals on an 8088 in the 80's. I'm pretty sure they were animated. Still, we are geeks of a feather ;)
