The naked soul is a rare thing. I doubt any one of us has ever seen it—especially in ourselves. "On My Sleeve" plays on the old cliché of “wearing one’s heart on one’s sleeve”. To expose one’s true feelings, to be in touch with the truth of oneself is to be naked. The hand delicately supports the stitching as if it were a precious jewel on a pedestal—it is not quite holding that intangible “thing”, and yet it keeps it in its place.
