by the way the last comment you left on my piece i really appreciate that... i have been doing people for a long time and body parts, shading, & likeness comes very easy to me. but please believe it took every bit of the while to learn it. the likeness is what i have a problem with in other obama's. i also share your dislike in people telling what to paint. and i thought of painting him. but i just didnt want to... it came out better then i thought it would. i used to have a problem doing hands and feet.... and that might be one of the reason that famous artist in history hid certain parts... cuz i used to do that. until i started to tackle those things i hated to do. after all i have never been the one to run from something i didnt want to do... i would do it first or work hardest at it because i didnt want to do it or i thought i wouldnt do it well. and it all fell into place... thank you very much Bruce

i really like the way the colors work together on this piece... like the ibdividual colors were placed there instead of thrown and the way the texture from the board shows through... i really am moved by this piece

Thank you so very very damn much, Angela. I really appreciate your getting into details -- both for my painting and for your own experiences (which happens to run a lot like mine, say hiding the parts you don't want to paint. And, I will bet you that if you study them you'll find a lot of history's artists doing just that! Please stay touch a lot, Angela, AND I hope you enjoy the lengthy series I put together tonight, It begins with this piece! Peace, etc., Bruce
