The onion, a staple of the kitchen, was the subject of this minimalist oil painting. Completed with hues of umber, sienna, and white, it stands out against the dark background and the light bounces off its paper like skin in the monochromatic scene.

The original painting was created on a square 6x6 inch stretched canvas with traditional methods.
