Description
This is a rather unique photo of a natural object, with a 180-degree rotation of the photo creating an optical illusion.
The bark of trees functions as a protective barrier, but it itself is often attacked by insects. They lay their eggs in crevices and the larvae chew their way through the cellulose tissues leaving a gallery of tunnels which you may see in this photo. A rotation of the photo to 180 degrees creates an optical illusion where a convex surface of the tunnels looks like a concave one. To see this you have to look at the matching image Optical Illusion_2A which is in fact the same file with a 180-degree rotation.

Thank you, Jack! I think that every person will see the same looking on the image topsyturvy. This is a trick of the human brain.
