Outstanding, brilliant young American poet, the poem itself, her appearance at the inauguration of President Biden and Vice-President Harris— for which the poem was written—to recite it, the well-deserved cover of Time? HAD to have the art that commemorated her trifecta in our American story. LOVE IT!

About Lourie Zipf

Before returning to her early love of horses, Lourie Zipf worked for 11 years as an intern and staff photographer for several newspapers, including Tribune Newspapers in Phoenix, Arizona, and the Daily Camera in Boulder, Colorado. Lourie studied photojournalism at the Ohio University School of Visual Communication from 1991-1993. In 2003, Lourie started her own equine photography business. Lourie’s primary focus is on editorial photography and her images have been published in such magazines as Western Horseman, Horse & Rider and Horse Illustrated. In 2006, Lourie began photographing the wild horses in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. Several of those images are featured here on Fine Art America.
