A totally adequate purchase - nothing outstanding, nothing problematic. Since the original was one of your stock images, I cannot speak to whether this was a clear image, besides which the original was a watercolor, so clarity is not essential to the success of the image. I predict that a larger image would lack clarity. But I'm generally satisfied.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!
Artist's Description
This painting was done plein air on the hottest day of the summer. I was attending a 2 week painting seminar at OxBow, part of SAICs summer classes. I found some feeble shade and proceeded to paint. It was so hot that by the time I got acrylic off the palette to the canvas it was already setting up. It made for great texture in the work.
About Kevin Callahan
My philosophy is simple: Composition, Story, Elegant Line. "If you find the elegant line, your work will be lyrical." I produce works in pencil, acrylic, watercolor, found objects, and digital photography. I completed a Painting Intensive at the San Francisco Art Institute, studying with world renown Israeli artist Larry Abramson and at at the Ox-Bow School of the Art Institute Chicago under Phil Hanson and Michelle Grabner. I earned my BFA from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. My studies included an emphasis in painting and printmaking. My work is hanging in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. In 2009 I received the Tony Award, a traveling art award honoring individual artists on Fine Art...

Memories of the old western movie, THE OXBOW INCIDENT, come to mind . Your lovely scene here is placid and calm.,perhaps indicative of the calm before the storm....shades of the present and the past mingle....you have set your stage beautifully, props are all in place...but where are the players...Love intelligent art, that transports us into the artists mind...has us questioning what we are viewing...a thousand possible intrepretations.. very well executed.

Kevin, I really like all of your artwork! I especially like this one because it reminds me of the chairs in my grandmothers back yard. I have fond memories of times spent resting in those chairs. Thank you for your comment on my photo, too. ~ Cher
