This print is very nice. I plan to get a orange mat board and some kind of rustic wood frame. Colors are beautiful!

This is one of the more unique renditions of starry night that I have seen. There is no colors are beautiful and this world's certainly relate to the original. A great addition to my collection

Artist's Description
Two of the resident great horned owls, turned their heads to look at me after I hooted at them - three quick deep hoots, very short pause, then two slightly longer hoots got their attention. I'm pretty good at imitating them since I hear them a lot. You can hear their hoots on the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology:

About Afroditi Katsikis
My primary medium is photography and lately have concentrated on nature and the environment as my major subjects. I am deeply concerned about the future health and beauty of this planet we live on and would like to preserve some of it's beauty before it's gone forever. I have a BFA Photography & Printmaking from ASU 1976 where I studied with Eric Kronengold, Bill Smith and Jack Stuler. Before transferring to ASU, I studied with Leslie Krimms, Paul Diamond at Buffalo State College - back in the days when there were no digital cameras and we shot and processed black and white film and printed it! Somehow I wrangled my way into a 'day' job that eventually led me away from my art and or pursuing a career as an artist or photographer...

Wow! Great shot of the pair, I love it!!
Afroditi Katsikis replied:
Thank you Pam. This image and the other one you commented on were taken from a neighbor's yard - not my property. At first I thought the one on the right was a juvenile because the first time I heard her vocalize was a squawck not a hoot. Before she flew to another branch she started hooting, so then I realized they were a mated pair! When she flew over to another tree on the same property, she apparently got too close to a scrub jay's nest and they started trying to attack her. She didn't budge and then they left her alone. I have permission to go over to my neighbor's property to photograph more of this pair.
