This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

The Palm Warbler is a common warbler in wet habitats during migration across much of the U.S.
I was birding in a swamp when I found a flock of chickadees and warblers, so I sat down to watch them, and this Palm Warbler flew out into the open. He hung around for a bit so I was able to get my camera out and take this shot of him before he started foraging and eventually flew away.

I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area.
